Health Equity is a complicated and huge problem for all of us, not just the people suffering from poor health as a result of many issues that may be out of their control - where they live, genetic history, or cultural differences that make it difficult to navigate our healthcare system. This Podcast series will explain what Health Equity (or Health IN-Equity) is all about by using words, examples, and stories so everyone can understand this complicated problem. And based on what we learned about COVID, it is in everyone's best interest to be concerned about the health of everyone in this country to prevent another healthcare pandemic.

Michael Burke is a subject matter expert in Leadership and Organizational Development and has spent his entire career in “corporate America.” For the past (20) years Michael has been focusing on people and organizations that have been subjected to “inequity” of various forms and is here today to share not only his personal experience with this topic but also the experiences he has had with the hundreds of small businesses across the country he has had to opportunity to “coach and mentor” through the topic of "inequity" and how it presents in all fields, not just health.

David Chernov is a healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience, a founding member, and the former Executive Director of a multi-health system coalition. In this capacity, he was directly responsible for spearheading the funding, development, and execution of organizational policies to support multiple grants funded by federal and state agencies including the CDC, HRSA, and the state of Maryland.
