Defining Health Equity - From the People On the Frontlines

Defining Health Equity Podcast with Cathy Kanefsy, CEO and President of the Food Bank of Delaware

David Chernov Episode 7

In this episode, we discuss what may be the heart of Health Equity (actually In-equity) - Social Determinants of Health, specifically food insecurity.  Some say that only 10-20% of "health" is clinical, the rest are other factors like the lack of enough food to feed your family.

Cathy Kanesfky shares with us from an unbelievable personal perspective her work in creating one of the largest food banks in the region, and a beautiful heartwarming lesson in leadership along the way.  If this doesn't bring a tear to your eye, we don't know what would.  Feel free to contact Cathy at the Food Bank via ckanefsky@fbd.org.
