Health Equity is a complicated and huge problem for all of us, not just the people suffering from poor health as a result of many issues that may be out of their control - where they live, genetic history, or cultural differences that make it difficult to navigate our healthcare system. This Podcast series will explain what Health Equity (or Health IN-Equity) is all about by using words, examples, and stories so everyone can understand this complicated problem. And based on what we learned about COVID, it is in everyone's best interest to be concerned about the health of everyone in this country to prevent another healthcare pandemic.

Gene Ransom III has represented the 22,000 front-line physicians in Maryland for an organization called MedChi for almost 27 years, and as CEO for the past 14 years.
In this episode, you will hear "from the inside" what actually happened when COVID virtually closed the doors of physician practices just a short time ago and how they are rebuilding from this disaster. More importantly, you will hear from Gene how we might be better prepared for the next epidemic and what we are doing differently to avert a similar catastrophe. David Chernov is a healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience, a founding member, and the former Executive Director of a multi-health system coalition.
